      Hand vs the Fist I

      • Ask the client to close their hand into a fist. Ask them to squeeze it tight, and keep it like that.
      • Now as the client, with their other hand, to attempt to peel the hand open. Observe how it feels trying to do so. Observe not just the hands, but your whole body.
      • Now, ask the client to stop attempting to peel the hand open, and instead, ask them to cradle the fist with the other hand.
      • Ask them to pay attention to how they feel now, especially what they observe in their body generally.
