Reactivity I

  • Bring to mind something that is less than perfect about your life (small, not major).
  • Notice what happens in your body, noticing where in your body it is - this is your “felt sense”.
  • Now, notice what happens next. Notice what happens when we feel that “felt sense” - do we pull it towards us, or try to push it away?
  • Notice, is there a reaction? If there is, what is that reaction?
  • Feel the original felt sense. Check whether it is bearable.
  • Is there any reason to avoid this felt sense?
  • Is the reaction actually needed?
